Horspath U13s through in National Competition

Euan Barrett took an amazing 5-5

THE Buckinghamshire representatives Bledlow Ridge were no match for Horspath in a one-sided first round County play-off match on Sunday morning.

On winning the toss, Horspath opted to field, and their opening attack of Shreyas Anand and Euan Barrett quickly made inroads into the Bledlow batting line-up. Euan returned the superb figures of 5-5, whilst Shreyas completed his spell with 3-10 as Bledlow subsided to 41 all out.

Horspath knocked off the required runs in six overs with Max Wyman the only casualty for 11. Rayaan Dogar finishing on 19* and Chris Hofen 6*.

Horspath now go on to play the Berkshire champions in the next round. Details to follow.
