Clive Ricks -
3rd XI Skipper |
At a packed Players' Meeting on Sunday night, Clive Ricks was elected as the new 3rd XI Captain. The experienced Ricks takes over from Tom Murray who stands down, due to work commitments, after one very successful season. In 2012 the 3rd XI will be playing in Division 5 of the Cherwell League, the level at which the 1st XI were competing only 8 years ago. This highlights the remarkable progress made by the Club in recent years and will pose a significant challenge to Ricksy and his team next season.
The other team captains elected at the meeting were:
1st XI - Adam Krol; 2nd XI - Adrian Manger; 4th XI - Tony Herman.

It was also announced that Adrian Manger will take over from Max Eason as Head of the Club's Cricket Sub-Committee. Max has filled the role since the Club's reformation in 2004, guiding the Club's teams during a period of unprecedented on field success. Max, who will retain many active roles within the Club, congratulated Adi on his new position and wished him and all the players good luck for 2012.
Details of winter training programmes and pre-season nets will be finalised shortly.
