It was left to Pete Healey (34no) - who made a century as the side chased down 255 against Wolverton Town last week - to see Horspath home at 267-3 in the 44th over.
Earlier, Josh Cummings delivered a three-wicket burst to have Thame in all sorts of trouble in their innings. However, Patey rescued the home side with his brilliant knock, which came off 125 balls and included 17 fours and two sixes.
He was well supported by Richard Carr (40) as the pair put on 129 for the seventh wicket, before Cummings returned to end their stand and finish with 4-59, while Joe Gibbs's tidy spell saw him pick up 1-35 from 10 overs.
Horspath 4th slipped to a four-wicket defeat at home to Dorchester in Division 5C.
Opener Adrian Manager made 30, but the hosts were bowled out for 97 with Richard Sharman (4-11) wrapping up the innings after Harry Platt (2-24), James Neal (2-24) and Thom Airs (2-29) inflicted earlier damage.
Horspath made Dorchester fight for the runs, though, with Alex Jackson (2-36) and Euan Barrett (1-15) taking early wickets.
Conor Graney (35) and Dan Houseman (32) steadied the ship for the visitors, before both fell to Chris Hotchen, who picked up 3-10 as Dorchester clinched victory at 98-6.
