This was a well-deserved win, as a result of outstanding performances from each player. Our strong batting team put a high score on the board, with star performances from hard-hitters Michelle, Ann, Tracey and Irum, putting the opposition in difficulty.
Mhairi, Saba, and Kehkashan were especially tight in the field, saving boundaries as well as securing successful run outs. Their excellent bowling put pressure on each batting pair, taking important wickets time and time again. While our phenomenal wicket keeper Tracey had her eye on the prize from the beginning catching and stumping effortlessly in each game. Last but certainly not least, a big thank you to our captain, Irum, for guiding and motivating us all from beginning to end. Each individual played amazingly well.
Thank you to Abingdon Vale CC for organising such an enthralling tournament with plenty of excellent cricket on display. Horspath women's team hope to secure many more wins this coming season.
