Horspath geared up to face Rowant in Oxon Cup semi-final

HORSPATH are raring to go for their Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire Cup semi-final against Aston Rowant at the Recreation Ground tomorrow (Tuesday).

Lloyd Belcher's side are unbeaten in the T20 competition this season, winning the four group games they played to top Pool 3 before recording a 27-run victory over Shipton-under-Wychwood in the quarter-finals. Sulaiman Hussain shone in that clash, hitting 52 off 43 balls and taking 2-22. 

Aston Rowant boast a similar record, winning the three games they played to take pole position in Pool 4. They then defeated Challow & Childrey by four wickets in the last eight. 

The winners will face either holders Banbury or Oxford Downs, who meet in the other semi-final at Whitepost Road tomorrow, in the final at Wormsley on Saturday, September 18.
