Feast match cancelled due to Government restrictions

THE Horspath Feast match on Monday, September 21 has been cancelled following the Government's introduction of new restrictions banning social gatherings of more than six people, as Covid-19 cases keep rising.

Feast Day is called off
The traditional end-of-season fixture between Horspath and the President's XI is regarded by many as the social highlight of the Oxfordshire cricket calendar. However, the club feel that with the 'rule of six' being introduced Feast Day wouldn't be the occasion it is meant to be, and have, therefore, decided to draw stumps.

The club said on Twitter: "With the new restrictions being announced, the health and safety of our members and guests is paramount to the club. We hope everyone understands and 2021 will be special."
