Tejas hits brilliant maiden ton for Horspath 4th

TEJAS Anand hit a brilliant maiden Cherwell League century as Horspath 4th were held to a draw at Division 7 leaders Bicester & North Oxford.

Anand made a superb 110 as Horspath fell just short of victory in a match reduced to 35 overs-a-side. Having held Bicester to 177-9 after putting the home side in to bat with Elliot Ward producing his best league return of 4-35 from ten overs, Horspath gave the leaders a scare before closing on 173-5.

Mark Adams (40) and Sam Baker (38) were in the runs for Bicester, while Chris Batten picked up 2-33 and there was a wicket apiece for Josh Cummings and Joe Gibbs. Anand then led Horspath's run chase with a sparkling knock supported by fellow opener George Crawford (19) and Batten (18).
