CHARLIE Turner starred with a first five-wicket haul and a half-century in Horspath 4th's 19-run home defeat by Aston Rowant 4th in their Cherwell League Division 7 basement battle.
The teenager took 5-61 as Rowant made 195-8 after electing to bat, with Thad Cooper (54) and Maia Bouchier (48) leading the way. Turner then struck 56 in Horspath's 176 all out after Henry Wilkinson had made 35.
Horspath 2nd's game at Minster Lovell in Division 2 was called off without a ball being bowled, while Horspath 3rd were 3-0 off 1.2 overs when their Division 4 game at Charlbury was abandoned due to rain.
