He was able to report on a very satisfactory 2018 season. The 1st X1 cementing its place in Division 1 of the Home Counties Premier League for a third year , whilst claiming the prestigious Oxfordshire Bernard Tollett 20/20 trophy at Wormsley in the final competitive game of the season. The 2nd X1 more than held their own in Division 2 of the Cherwell League, the 3rd X1 gained a belated promotion to Division 4 and the 4th team challenged at the top of Division 7 where many of the youth team members are excelling.

Pre-season the Club will again be utilising the indoor nets at Abingdon School from 10.30am to 12.00 every Sunday in March before moving outdoors.
The season gets off to a great start with the Club entertaining the Royal London Club Champions , Richmondshire, over the weekend of 13th/14th April, this is followed by trips to play Bournemouth and Cookham Dean the following two Saturdays with a first round home tie against Chesham on Sunday 28th in the Royal London Cup, before the League cricket gets under and away Saturday 11th May
