Having taken 3-37 as Thame were bowled out for 168 after putting them in to bat, Cummings found himself at the crease with seven needed off the last over to clinch victory. David Wells hit a single off the first ball, and although Cummings failed to score off the next delivery he smashed the third ball for a huge six over long-on to clinch the side's second win of the season as they reached 169-7. Chris Jones top-scored with 34 and Nigel Coltman made 25, while Sam Lachlan took 3-35.
Hayden Moon had led the way with the ball for Horspath, taking 3-42 from 17 overs as Matt Ridgway (48), Richard Carr (44) and Matt Furness (35) provided the bulk of Thame's runs. Despite the victory, Horspath remain at the foot of the table, but are now just four points adrift of Dinton 2nd.
Horspath 2nd's relegation from Division 1 was confirmed after they were shot out for 94 on the way to a five-wicket defeat at title-chasing Long Marston. The side's batting failed again after they opted to take first knock, with only Jehan Mohammed (31) spending any length of time at the crease. Jeremy Smith (4-40) polished off the tail after Peter Toovey, Andrew Lane and Waleed Ali had each taken two wickets.
Tyrone Eyles reduced Long Marston to 15-2, but then Smith hit 40 as Marston clinched victory at 97-5. There was also a wicket apiece for Asad Rafiq, Graham Beer and Jehan.
