Sadly we have to report the passing away of life member Ken Shepherd at the grand age of 98. Ken was a fixture in both the village cricket and football teams over a long career which spanned a large portion of the history of the cricket club. During that period and following his retirement as a player, Ken took over the upkeep of the outfield and was an avid watcher and critic of all the matches that took place. He was great company, with an unfailing sense of humour, armed with an extensive catalogue of stories. Our condolences go to Josie, Pete and all the family at this sad time.
