Plenty to play for

With the last round of League matches being played this Saturday three of the four Horspath sides have plenty to play for.

The 1st X1 are champions of Division 1 but have the opportunity to win the League by a record margin. That is currently held by Bicester and North Oxford, for whom two of the current Horspath 1st X1 players Lee Mason and Paul Jeacock, were then playing.

With 3 Teams being promoted down to Division 1V this season the 2nd X1 are already assured of one of those places, but need 12pts to secure the runners up spot and move up to Division 2 in 2014. This will be the fourth successive promotion for the 2nd X1 which is a great achievement.
The 3rd X1 are sitting comfortably mid table in Division 6, but take on the Divisions leaders at home on Saturday so have the opportunity to finish the season on a high with .

The 4th X1 are sitting on top of Division 9 and require just 6 points to finish the season as champions and return to Division 8 next season

On Sunday Horspath take on Great Tew in the Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire 20/20 Final, 2.30pm at Oxford Downs, Standlake. This is the first time either Club has reached the Final, and it promises to be an excellent game. For those who want to get up early, the Plate Competition between Oxford and Tiddington starts at 10.30. Supporters are warned that parking may be difficult.

The following Sunday September 15th the Under 17 side take on Aston Rowant in the Final of the County Competition at Horspath 10am start, with the season culminating the following day with the traditional Horspath Feast, which should set the seal on what has been a memorable summer for the Club
