Tollett Cup Victory

Dan Todd 1-22
In the face of some tight Horspath bowling and excellent fielding, Tiddington posted, what looked
like, a below par 131-9 in their 20 overs. Shahbaz Ali was the most successful bowler with 3 – 14 off 3 overs, but the performances of 15 year old Graham Beer 1-25 off his 4 over allocation, and 17 year old Dan Todd 1-22 off 3, under pressure, were particularly pleasing.

Graham Beer 1-25
Horspath found it equally difficult to break free when they batted, and despite Andy Wynd and Jimmy Phillips putting on 64 for the first wicket, Horspath were left requiring 50 off the last 5 overs. They were indebted to quick fire innings of 17 from Steve Green [incl 2 successive 6s], Jehan Mohammed 15* off 10 balls and  skipper Adam Krol 20* off 8 balls to see them home with 4 balls remaining.

Horspath are now away to the winners of the Aston Rowant/ Oxford tie on the 2nd July.

Tiddington 131 – 9  (Nick Pykett 28, Will Goodman 22, Will Cooper 21, Shahbaz Ali 3 – 14 off 3 overs, Adam Krol 2 -25 off 4, Graham Beer 1- 25 off 4. Dan Todd 1-22 off 3)

Horspath 132 – 5 [19.2 overs] (Andy Wynd 36, Jimmy Phillips 27, Adam Krol 20*, Chris  Goodman 2-15 off 4 + 3 run outs)
