2012 Season - Stat Attack(3)

A total of 11,075 runs were scored by the Club's batsmen in 2012.

Robbie Eason
1,016 runs @ 50.8

The highest individual run scorer was Robbie Eason, with 1,016 runs at an average of 50.8.  Steve Green chipped in with 753 runs at an average of 47 and James Phillips scored 649 runs averaging just over 40.

The highest batting average was recorded by 2nd XI skipper, Andy Cummings.  He averaged just over 59 thanks to only being dismissed twice in 10 innings while scoring 119 runs.  1st XI captain, Adam Krol, also posted an impressive average of just under 50 as he was dismissed only 3 times in his 10 visits to the wicket.

There were 5 individual centuries: Robbie Eason 120no; Will Eason 118no; Matt O'Connor 117; Steve Green 115no; and Mark Skelton 106no.


A total of 56 half-centuries were also struck during the year.  Once again, Robbie Eason lead the way passing 50 on 8 occasions.  He was closely followed by: James Phillips with 7; Steve Green with 6; and Shahbaz Ali with 5.

75 ducks were recorded by Horspath players.  Dan Jones won the duck award after failing to get off the mark on 5 occasions.  Gareth Hamilton came a close second with 4 ducks during the season.
