As has been widely reported, both in the press and on television, Ian Simpson was tragically killed in an accident last Friday. Ian had been a social member of the Club since it was reformed, and rarely missed a home game.
His normal position was on the stool by the bar, from where he took pleasure in joining in with the banter, whilst updating himself on the state of the match from the doorway.
He was always first to offer his services when help was required, and was popular with all. His presence at the Club, with pint in his hand, will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Betty, Jimmy, Craig, Reah and the rest of the family.
