Stompy's Bench

In partnership with the Village Hall and Recreation Management Committee, of which Jonathan was all too briefly Chairman , the Club has purchased and established a magnificent bench in his memory.

Few people could have made such a positive impact on a club, over such a short space of time, as Jonathan did at Horspath. The work he did in setting up and establishing communication procedures, team management, and the support  through the sponsorship he raised, took the Club to a new level.

Being thoroughly Welsh he would have enjoyed the inscription -‘In Memory of Jonathan 'Stompy' Stobart (1966 - 2011) Horspath CC and Wales’, and also the fact that it has not stopped raining since it was installed.
