A number of new players have joined the Club for the 2012 season. By way of introduction, we will post a brief news item profiling each of the new players. Thanks to them all for providing the material.
We start with Chris Fox, a bowling all-rounder, who has recently moved to the area to take up a new job in Oxford. Here is what Chris is prepared to share with everybody about his cricketing and personal life!
Age: 31
Place of Work : Headington School
Job Title : Teacher - Head of Philosophy
Married/Single: Single
Previous cricket club(s): Easton on the Hill CC (in Northants)
Batter/Bowler/Keeper: Bowler and a bit of middle/lower order flailing around
Most memorable individual cricketing performance: Taking 7/23 in the 2010 season
Worst cricketing moment: Pleading with the skipper to allow me to open the batting one day and then being out for a duck.
Favourite cricket ground (where you have played): Malvern College (because it's beautiful)
Least favourite cricket ground (where you have played): Malvern College (because it's never been a happy hunting ground)
Toughest cricketing opponent: Dean Headley - he still bowls very quickly!
One rule you'd change to improve the game: I'd get rid of that silly rule about not being able to run out the non-striking batsman when he's backing up too far
Other sports followed: Football
Football team supported: Spurs
Favourite TV programme: Peep Show
Favourite holiday destination: Egypt
What was the first CD or record you purchased: Too embarrassing to admit to!
In your own words - why did you choose to join HCC? : Sounded like a nice, friendly club with lots of social stuff as well as good cricket
