Looking Back at 2011 (No.9) - Matthew O'Connor

Matthew O'Connor takes a break from his winter in Oz to shares his views on the 2011 season

Matt scored a pile of runs for the 2nd XI at the start of the season.  This earned him promotion to the 1st XI where he developed into a key member of the team.  His personal stats for the season can be seen here

Most Memorable Cricketing Moment in 2011 (Personal)? Knocking an unbeaten 95 in my final 2s game of the season against Banbury III, using 3 different bats in the process.
Most Memorable Cricketing Moment in 2011 (Team/Club)? Does the Brighton trip count? If not, Krolly's two dropped catches against Reading were pretty memorable. Sorry to bring them up again mate.
Worst Cricketing Moment in 2011? Undoubtedly getting relegated from Home Counties. The team put in a heck of a lot of effort over the season, but I'm sure we'll respond positively next year. But the loss of the lunch break will be difficult to take.
Best & Worst Away Grounds visited in 2011? Best : Gerrards Cross
Worst :  Toss up between Thame and Banbury III
Toughest Opposition Player Faced in 2011?Wes Morrick .... decent bowler.
Most Improved HCC Player in 2011?
Ben Henderson
Best Umpire in 2011? Anyone but the muppets who umpired the Harefield game.
