U15s Just Fall Short at Tew

Horspath U-15 just failed in their attempt to reach the County Final as they fell to a 6 wicket defeat at Great Tew with two overs remaining. Horspath batted first and posted a competitive 113 – 7 in their 20 overs. This was mainly due to a hard hit 50* by Dan Jones, aided by useful contributions from Dan Todd and Krusshi. Tight opening spells by Waqas Latif and Abdul Saleem got Horspath off to a good start and at the half way stage the game was in the balance. Dan Todd, although not helped by one short boundary, managed to impose some pressure however a couple of expensive overs tilted the game Tew’s way and composed innings by L Brock [37] and J Haggett [36*] saw Tew home.
